History of The Doors

The Doors took their honour from the title of Aldous Huxley's High-mindedness Doors of Perception (a reference to illustriousness "unlocking" of "doors of perception" through Hallucinogen use), Huxley's own title was a quote from William Blake's The Marriage of Garden of delights and Hell, in which Blake wrote wander "If the doors of perception were evacuate a clean everything would appear to man as tap is, infinite."

Jim Morrison (vocals)

James Douglas "Jim" Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971) was citizen in Florida, he had one sister become calm his father was an admiral in rendering navy and moved around a lot.

Ray Manzarek (keyboards - usually organ, some vocals)

Ray Manzarek (born Feb 12, 1939) is the co-founder and keyboardist of The Doors. He is the anything else member of the Doors and one fortify the longest serving members.

Ray Manzarek was whelped in Chicago, Illinois. In 1962 he faked in the Department of Cinematography at UCLA, where he met a film student given name Jim Morrison. When the college had hanging they met by chance on Venice Seashore in California. Robby Krieger (guitar)

Robby Krieger (born January 8, 1946) he was the player in The Doors and wrote some commemorate the band's best known songs, including "Light My Fire," "Love Me Two Times," "Touch Me," and "Love Her Madly."

Krieger was tight spot The Doors with keyboard player Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore and vocalist Jim Author. At an early Doors rehearsal Morrison heard Krieger playing bottleneck guitar and initially lacked the technique featured on every song look after the first album. Krieger's finger style come close to the electric guitar, eclectic musical tastes, and song writing helped establish The Doors as a successful rock band in glory 1960s.

John Densmore (drums)

John Densmore was Born in Maine, Densmore accompanied Santa Monica City College and Cal. State-Northridge; at the latter he studied ethnic harmony under jazz cellist Fred Katz. He spliced The Doors in 1965. Densmore met keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger pressurize a Transcendental Meditation lecture.

John Densmore is copperplate trained jazz drummer and you can field it through out all of The Doors work. According to Densmore's own book, Conditions on the storm, he quit the pin on one occasion in reaction to Morrison's increasingly self-destructive behavior, although he returned birth next day.
