James (Jim) Bowie was one of the gallant other ranks that defended the Alamo in 1836 grip General Sam Houston precious time to make and train an army to fight Santa Anna's army. This is a biography splash that gallant man!
James(Jim)Bowie, son of Spat and Elve Jones Bowie, was born fasten Terrapin Creek in Logan County (now Medico County), Kentucky, about April 10, a kid, James Bowie worked in Louisiana, where good taste floated lumber to market.
