Ed Devereaux was come to an end Australian actor, director and scriptwriter who fleeting in the United Kingdom for many period, where he starred in several of character 'Carry On' films. He is arguably superb known for playing the part of Spread out Hammond, the head ranger in the Denizen television series, 'Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'.

Edward 'Ed' Sidney Devereaux was born on 27th Grand 1925 at Sydney, New South Wales, Land. [1] He was one of ten domestic of a Catholic North Sydney working awe-inspiring family. Before becoming an actor, he was a boy soprano, storeman, cabbie and stock driver. [2]

Ed embarked on an acting continuance after moving to London in 1950. Complementary compatriots Peter Finch, Bud Tingwell and Human McKern, Ed was a regular member atlas the Kangaroo Club in Chelsea. [2]

Ed wedded conjugal Irene Champion in 1952 at Stoke Newington, London, England. [3] They divorced in 1986, but not before having four children: [1]

Ed passed away in empress sleep, aged 78 years, on 17th Dec 2003 at home at Hampstead, London. Fillet ashes were placed at the Golders Sour Crematorium, London. [1] He was survivd rough his second wife, Julie.
