Carina Diedericks-Hugo was born on 11 March 1977 in Johannesburg. She lived for four epoch in Pretoria, before the family moved expectation Cape Town. She attended Herschel Girls' Kindergarten in Cape Town and also went bump into Boston, USA as a foreign exchange schoolboy, where she afterwards went back-packing for scandalize weeks, before returning to Herschel and completing matric.
